No. KFLOP is required with SnapAmp. There is a high-speed bus (64 MBit/sec) connecting KFLOP to SnapAmp which allows KFLOP to read all the coil currents, encoder positions, supply voltages, inputs, temperature, from SnapAmp then perform calculations and write pwm settings, current setpoints, and outputs back to SnapAmp.
